Traps

"You just activated my trap card!" - Maximillion Pegasus (2000)

Traps you ask? What is a trap?

The definitions given by the glorious Merriam-Webster say that traps are:
a) a device for hurling clay pigeons into the air.
b) something by which one is caught or stopped unawares; also : a position or situation from which it is difficult or impossible to escape.

What do traps have to do with Taboo?

Well my darlings, a trap is no ordinary instrument used for tossing birds into the air. A trap is a man that dresses as a women with the intent to fool them. In many cultures, such as those in Southeast Asia, traps are considered part of the normal. In fact, they're in every major city you go! Delhi, Hanoi, Bangkok, Kuala Lempur. This may sound a bit disgusting to you, but I assure you, this a natural part of the ever-so complex human mentality. Personally, I have no qualms about traps, heck if they're as pretty as some of the girls I know, I'd even be friends with them.

You may ask yourself why one would cross-dress in the first place? In ancient times, civilization had clear definitions of the place of women within society, giving them specific clothing to wear and specific jobs to do. Yet they had no idea what to do with people that had "mental defects" and believed they were of the opposite sex. In modern times, the boundaries between men and women have become blurred and many are becoming cross-gender and are taking on the roles of their counter-parts.

This may not explain the mentality of some who purposely fool men into having intercourse with them though. One could argue that there are always those that don't "play by the rules" and  in-fact they enjoy it. Some could be doing it for the purposes of "role-playing", a sexual game in which partners take on specific roles. In many western cultures, it is considered a sin to do something of the sorts and is highly frowned upon by society. The bias towards these acts have no basis whatsoever other than irrational fear of the unknown. For whatever reason that people want to do this, I tell them to continue doing it, be proud of who they are.

Love,

Your Goddess
